Worship & Children's Christmas Musical “For the Glory of the King”
It is with great excitement that we present the Good Shepherd Church and Preschool children’s musical production of “For the Glory of the King”. This is a Christmas pageant about a Christmas pageant rehearsal. One of the children wants to “Hurry up!” to finish the rehearsal so she can return home to open more gifts from her grandmother. As the children work through the rehearsal, the young lady who wanted to get back home has her “epiphany” and realizes that Jesus is truly the only Christmas gift of any real importance. The music is truly delightful and includes new, upbeat compositions as well as traditional favorites like “Away in a Manger” and “Angels We Have Heard on High”. Please join us for this most heartwarming children’s presentation.

Christmas Musical Presentation “Shepherds & Kings – Following the Star, Seeking the Light"
The Music and Worship Arts ministry of Good Shepherd will present a special program of Advent and Christmas music featuring Shepherd’s Voice Choir and New Sound Praise Ensemble. Scripture lessons, carols and anthems will tell the story of the shepherds and kings, following a special light that led them to Bethlehem to find Jesus. Following the lighting of the advent wreath candles, the service commences with the hymn "Rejoice, Rejoice Believers". From there, special songs and messages from God's Word will celebrate the Good News that Jesus came to save us, that He truly is the Light of the World. The choirs will share a new setting of "Sleeping Adonai" by Heather Sorenson and will sing the popular "I Have Seen the Light" by Chris Machen. The singing of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing!" by the congregation and choirs will conclude the service. Pastor Steven Maske will deliver an Advent homily entitled, “Greater Things”.

Good Shepherd Preschool Christmas Service “Who Is Coming to Our House?"
In trusting anticipation, animals prepare “their house” for unnamed guests. By nightfall, the stable is readied and the animals welcome Mary and Joseph. “Who’s Coming to Our House?” is a musical program, adapted by Mrs. Betty Roberts from the children’s book of the same name by Joseph Slate. The preschoolers will demonstrate the importance of readying our hearts and homes for Jesus Christ, the Savior whose birth brought God to mankind. Songs such as “There Was a Little Baby” and “Angel Song” will be presented by the preschool chorus, and Pastor Howe will share a brief message during the service. God’s blessings to you as you ready your hearts and homes for the newborn Savior!
