Summary of Lay Ministers’ Responsibilities:
- Lay Ministers along with Pastors are responsible for the spiritual growth of the congregation and carrying out Good Shepherd’s mission — Loving people into a living relationship with Jesus.
- Members of the Board of Lay Ministry (Lay Ministers) assist pastoral staff in operational duties of worship services and strive to provide the congregation with a fulfilling, enjoyable worship experience.
- Lay Ministers open and close the Worship Center on the days of worship, help Pastors by greeting, ushering, and serving Communion for worship services.
- Lay Ministers pray regularly for present and future church members, the pastoral, church, and school staffs, its Church Council members and friends of the congregation.
