EPIC - Middle School & High School Youth
Here at Good Shepherd we are all one growing into His future together! That means that the Senior Youth are growing together as a part of Jesus’ church here.
EPIC Youth meets twice a month to be discipled by God’s Word, to build one another up, to serve others because of God’s love, and to have some fun and food as the Church.
We have various outings spaced out throughout the year, like going to a fall corn maze, the ChristKindle market in Chicago, Christian Concerts, paintball, etc. These outings with be rotated with service opportunities at Kane County Food Bank, Phil's Friends and many more.
Come join us and be ready to see what God has in store for us all!
Q: What is EPIC?
A: EPIC is a youth ministry program designed intentionally to create an opportunity for students to know and encounter Jesus.
Q: When does EPIC meet?
A: Wednesday nights from 5:30-7:30pm, starting Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019.
Q: What if my student can’t make it right at 5:30pm, for whatever reason?
A: That’s ok! We want you no matter when and for how long. EPIC begins with dinner from 5:30-6:15pm. If you can’t make dinner we want you to come anyway*. There will always be a place for your son or daughter at EPIC. (*Note: At 6:15pm you’ll find us in the gym, and at 6:45pm you’ll find us in the Youth Room.)
Q: What happens at EPIC?
A: Each night will begin with a shared meal around the dinner table, followed by a unique experience of outrageous games, worship, and ending with large group and small group learning.
Q: What if I don’t know anything about Jesus and Christianity?
A: That’s okay! EPIC is a safe place for you to question and challenge things you’ve heard, or feel that you’re supposed to believe about Jesus and Christianity. After all this is how we grow in our faith and enter into a personal relationship with Jesus.
Q: How do I register/sign-up for EPIC?
A: We’re glad that you’ve made the decision to sign-up! There are two ways to register:
Fill out this online or registration form hard copies can be picked up and returned to the church office.
Q: What if my student has a musical gift/talent?

Good Shepherd Children's Music Ministry
is a vibrant part of our worship services. Please contact John Douglas for more information about these exciting opportunities!
Our Motivation: "This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, His one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life." John 3:16.
"Saving is all His idea, and all His work. All we do is trust Him enough to let Him do it. It's God's gift from start to finish! We don't play the major role. If we did, we'd probably go around bragging that we'd done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving." Ephesians 2:8-10.
"God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of His Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that." 1 Corinthians 1:9.
