Holy Week 2020
Dear Sisters and
Brothers in Christ, Easter joy and peace to you all!
For many of us, 2020
has been a time of uncertainty. We are under attack by COVID-19 and we are all
a little anxious. As we “shelter in place” and maintain “social distancing”, we
may feel scared and alone. This year we will not be able to gather together at
Good Shepherd and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus as we normally do. This
year Easter may seem a lot different than Easter celebrations of years past and
yet, our Easter celebration this year may be more like the very first
2000 years ago at the
dawn of the first Easter. The disciples were scared and they felt all alone. They
were anxious and filled with sorrow because they had seen their Master Jesus
put to death and then placed in a tomb. The people were filled with fear and
there was little hope. Into this darkness, the Risen Christ shared His Light!
Today, two thousand
years after THE RESURRECTION, we have been called into the light of Christ! By
God’s grace you can be filled with the light and love of Jesus that brings hope
and salvation! May Jesus’ victory over death give you victory in your life
We won’t gather in a building
this year, but we will gather around the love of Jesus Christ! I welcome you to
join with your Good Shepherd family for our Easter celebration ONLINE on Sunday
April 12 at 10:00 AM. Please go to our Good Shepherd Church and School Facebook
Page or subscribe to our YouTube Channel, our services are also available
on our webpage.
Thank you for your
prayers and gracious support of our ministry. Please prayerfully
consider how you can continue to faithfully support our Good Shepherd ministry
through your regular offerings and tithe commitments.
Our Easter celebration
may look a little different this year but make no doubt, we WILL celebrate the
victory of Jesus Christ over sin, death and the Devil! I look forward to
the day when we are all together in God’s house here at Good Shepherd, but in
the meantime stay healthy and be safe! We will get through this together
May your Easter season
be a celebration filled with the love of Jesus Christ!
I wish you a HAPPY,
BLESSED and JOYOUS EASTER!
Christ IS risen! He
IS risen indeed! Alleluia!
