This Advent Season

This Advent Season...
Please join your Good Shepherd family this Advent season for weekend worship as we celebrate Jesus’ coming into our world with the theme: “Prepare The Way!” Advent marks the beginning of a new Church Year. The term “advent” is derived from a Latin word that means “coming”. Our Weekend Advent worship will lead us to experience the Love, Joy and Peace of our coming Savior!  We ask the Holy Spirit to “prepare the Way” for Jesus to reign and rule in our lives.  We will see how God used His prophets of old to proclaim repentance for the forgiveness of sins that enables Jesus to come into our hearts today!

This Advent season we celebrate a special opportunity to welcome Jesus into our hearts and lives as Good Shepherd will host midweek Advent Worship Services for the first three Wednesdays in December at 7:00 PM.  Please join us for midweek Advent worship where our theme is: “Arise and Shine!” Each week will focus on a different aspect of the light of Christ and how we are enlightened by him throughout our lives. In our worship we will celebrate “Rising Light”, “Reflecting Light” and “Eternal light!” Every Wednesday in Advent there will be a mealtime from 5:30 PM – 6:45 PM in the Gathering Room. We will have family activities to help prepare families for the coming of Jesus.

Making Room for Jesus,
