Committed to Christ!

Committed to Christ!
During the month of November, you are invited to join your Good Shepherd family as together we enter a season of re-commitment as we are guided by the Holy Spirit to become more devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. Our worship theme will be “Committed to Christ: Living a Grace Filled Life.” Together we will all have a fresh opportunity to grow in our understanding of God’s grace and in our gratitude for all that we have received from Him.

Each Sunday in November we will emphasize a different aspect of Christian discipleship as we celebrate God’s gifts to us in the form of Time, Talent and Treasure. You have recently received an update in the mail regarding your financial support of our Good Shepherd ministry. You have also received a commitment card that you can complete for the coming year. We will receive your commitment card during worship at Good Shepherd on Commitment Weekend, November 19 & 20.

Please pray about your faith response to God’s eternal blessings that He has shared with you in your life through Jesus Christ. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to share in the privilege of being a partner in the mission and ministry of Good Shepherd. We are asking for both a heart and life commitment. By the power of the Holy Spirit you too can be like the Macedonian Christians who “didn’t do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord!” (2 Cor. 8:5)

We thank God for the blessings that He has shared with our Good Shepherd family! God is the source of all that we are and have on this earth and we thankfully respond to His blessings by giving only what He has already given us! Thank you for your faithful stewardship response in support of our ministry. In response to Jesus’ love, we partner with Him in caring for and managing all the blessings that He has bestowed upon us to His glory and for the building of His kingdom on this earth!

“God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work!” (2 Cor 9:8)
