Red Letter Challenge

Red Letter Challenge

Would you like to have a closer relationship with Jesus?

Would you like to experience the freedom that comes from God’s forgiveness?

Would you like to become more engaged in the ministry of Good Shepherd?

Would you like Good Shepherd to have a greater impact on our Elgin community?

Would you like a resource to help give you a clear direction in your faith life?

If so, please join your Good Shepherd family on the Red Letter Challenge, a 40-day life changing experience challenging you to become greater followers of Jesus!

Good Shepherd will launch the Red Letter Challenge (RLC) at worship on February 26/27. The Red Letter Challenge is about taking the “red letter” words in your Bible, the words Jesus spoke, and putting them into practice in your life. We do this because we know what God has done for us in Christ: He has saved us from our sins, forgiven us, and promises life everlasting to those who believe in Jesus! We want to respond to His goodness and do what God says. This challenge will help us all do just that!

We have (RLC) devotion books for everyone. There is a devotion and a challenge for all 40 days. It is our hope that the entire congregation will work through this at the same time. Please be sure to get your book any time before February 26/27. They are available on a table in the hallway.  If you would like to help defray the cost, a suggested donation of $10 can be put in the offering marked “RLC Books.”
This shared challenge will be reinforced every week in our Worship, Small Group Studies and Family discussion sheets to take home. You are encouraged to join a small group each week to support what you are reading and doing. Please sign-up for a group at the information table in the hallway or online.

I am excited about this challenge and look forward to seeing how it will strengthen our congregation and have an impact on our Elgin community!

Following The Good Shepherd,
Pastor Steve Maske
