A faithful sister in Christ reminded me that we don't say, "Thank you" often enough to the people that really need to hear it! As I thought about what she said, I could only say, "Thank you for reminding me!" So I would like to share a big "THANK YOU!" to everyone here at Good Shepherd who has been faithful to support the ministry that God has given us here at Good Shepherd!
Thank you to everyone who has in one way or another shared the love of Jesus with others! Thank you to everyone who has made a financial commitment to support our Good Shepherd ministry. Thank you to those who recently donated food items, diapers and children’s clothing to TLC Crisis Pregnancy Center. Thank you to everyone who has been able to financially support the Redeeming Life Maternity Home. These are just ways that we show Christian Care as we "Love People to Jesus!"
I want to thank those who serve in worship: Our Musicians, Choirs, Praise Team, Greeters, Tech Team, Nursery Care, Scripture Readers, Acolytes, Chair Set-up Crew, Altar Care Team, those who sponsor our weekly altar flowers and those who help decorate the Sanctuary for Christmas and Easter.
We all need to thank those who help us to learn more about God's Word like our Sunday School Teachers, Preschool Teachers and those who lead our Pathfinders classes. Thank you to those who serve us meals at our midweek gatherings.
Thank you to those who are reaching out to others with the Love of Jesus! Thanks to everyone who helps with our FLOCK events. Thank you to our VBS volunteers as well!
I thank God for those who help make our building and grounds look so nice. I also thank our Church and Preschool Staff, our Lay Ministers who provide spiritual support as well as our Church Council who provides direction and leadership to our church. Thank you to those who show care to others: those who call or visit our seniors, those who take flowers to shut-ins, our Prayer Team, Telecare Callers and our Funeral Meal Team. Thank you also to our Lay Ministers and our new Handy Man Ministry!
Wow! That is a lot to be thankful for! If I may have missed you, I still want to say, "Thank you." This week we celebrate Thanksgiving and we'll be reminded that "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father." (James 1:17) In closing I will say "Thank you God, for all of you!"
Together in Christ! Pastor Maske
