Where are you on your faith journey?

Posted July 30, 2020
Where are you on your faith journey?

It’s been a pretty tough road lately! COVID-19, civil unrest and economic hardships have all come together to make our lives pretty rough! Sometimes we may even doubt our faith in God!  Where is God in all of this?

If you are a “good” Christian, you know that you have been “saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves it is a gift of God so that no man may boast!” (Ephesians 2:8-9) That being said, how does my faith life help me to get through my day to day hardships?

If you are like me, sometimes you may struggle with your faith.  Even as you have received Jesus as your Savior, do you allow Him to love you in spite of your doubts and worries? Are you growing in your trust in Jesus’ promises or are you continuing to take matters of salvation into your own hands?

What is your level of trust in Jesus’ love for you and His promise of protection? Are you frequently weighed down by your own unmet faith expectations?  Do you struggle to see God working in your life?

Jesus knows your struggles!  He has not abandoned you. That is why he came here on earth. To deliver you from the greatest struggle of sin that leads to death and eternal separation from God. I pray that the Holy Spirit guides you to grow in your faith journey as you grow to trust in God’s graceful promise for you. Jesus’ death on the cross brings you life today! Jesus already did everything necessary to earn you eternal life.  “It is finished!”  The victory of Easter is yours today! Your Good Shepherd Jesus continues to walk with you in whatever valley you may be in.

As a Child of God, the Holy Spirit continues to work in your life to grow your faith today!  By grace through faith you can trust that your true identity is now based only in Jesus! May Jesus’ victory over sin, death and the Devil enable you to recognize the depth of God’s love for you.  May God’s mercy given to you through Jesus Christ, empower you to trust in His love for you as you share His gift of grace with others.

Growing in Grace!
